In July we had a lovely mid-winter camping break just up the coast from home (Banksia Green, Myall Lakes NP). It rained most of the time, but we got a few very short walks in and a drone take off or two. Most importantly, we were able to run the new camper batteries as a test for our Mundi Mundi Bash, in August. The batteries worked a treat.
We hosted a fun Christmas in July - after a hiatus for many years. Delicious food and great company, lots of laughter all round.
As it is now too cold to swim, we have converted part of the upstairs into a mini gym. So far we have used it a number of times each week - hopefully this will slow the winter kgs from accumulating.
Wanting to enhance our environmental credentials, we bit the bullet and got a solar battery installed . This has been a disaster from the get-go: installation delays and then, for some reason, the wiring was messed up and the battery won't charge from the sun? Lots of finger pointing and blame shifting between Tesla, solar company and installers. Many phone calls, screenshots and disgruntled emails later, they are coming to reinstall to get it sorted, we hope.
One of Alistair's 'oldest' friends from school managed to be in Sydney for her birthday, so a delicious meal was had down in Darling Harbour to celebrate with Kate.
